News Nearby: Olivette City Manager Heads to Wentzville

T. Michael McDowell is currently serving as the City Manager for Olivette.

T. Michael McDowell is leaving his post as the city manager in Olivette to take the position of city administrator in Wentzville. 

McDowell was the Wentzville Board of Aldermen's choice from five finalist candidates under consideration.

According to a press release from the City of Wentzville, McDowell has nearly 40 years of city manager/administrator experience, having worked in multiple suburban areas across four states, including Olivette and Creve Coeur.

“Wentzville is a great place to live, work, and raise a family," McDowell said. "I look forward to the opportunity to get to know the city’s officials, staff, and the great citizens of Wentzville and join with them helping to move the community forward."

After the contract is approved by the board and the mayor, McDowell's start date would be March 4, 2013. His annual salary will be $122,400, and he will have a city-owned vehicle for his use.

Wentzville has been without a permanent city administrator since Dianna Wright left in August of 2011.
