Live: Loop Trolley Public Hearing

The University City Plan Commission meets at 7 p.m. tonight.

8:30 p.m. — Public comments are over. Staff giving recommendations now.

8 p.m. — Plan commissioners questioning Loop Trolley officials. The public hasn't had a chance to weigh in yet.

7:30 p.m. — Police Chief Charles Adams says police are okay with the current plans for the trolley, as long as police officers continue to have access to Delmar through Sgt. Mike King Drive.

7:20 p.m. — Joe Edwards notes other area interest in the project, citing recent talk of a trolley for the Central West End and downtown St. Louis.

7:10 p.m. — Planning staff are showing slides of the proposed route of the trolley in University City, as well as photos of proposed stops.

The University City Plan Commission meets Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the Heman Park Community Center. 

Items on the agenda include a onditional Use Permit — Loop Trolley Company c/o Joe Edwards seeks a CUP to install and operate the proposed Loop Trolley in the CC – Core Commercial District and PA – Public Activity District Address/Location: Delmar Boulevard right-of-way from approximately Sgt. Mike King Drive to the eastern City limits.
