For Sale: County Property Tax Sale Is August 26

Sales will be made to the highest bidder at public auction.

It's that time of year again—Saint Louis County conducts its annual sale of tax delinquent property on the fourth Monday of August each year, which this year will be Aug. 26.

The sale will start at 10 a.m. in the County Council Chambers on the first floor of County Administration building, 41 South Central Avenue, Clayton. According to a press release, sales will be made to the highest bidder at public auction, and all sales are final.

All persons wishing to participate in the sale must register before making bids.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 26 in the Office of the Collector of Revenue, located on the street level of the County Administration building. 

All Bidders must have some form of verifiable current picture identification and must be current on their taxes, the release states.

A complete list of properties available for bid will be published in the St. Louis Countian on July 30 and on Aug. 6. The list is subject to change without notice as property owners may pay the delinquent taxes before the time of the tax sale.
