Council Member Intends to Get to Bottom of Leaked Reprimand Memo

Council member Terry Crow, Lynn Ricci and L. Michael Glickert call for investigation into how Byron Price's letter of reprimand made it into the public domain.

City Council member Terry Crow said he is determined to find out how the media learned of University City Mayor Shelley Welsch's to Council member Byron Price.

Crow said the matter was "inappropriately" leaked to the press. He said it was a confidential letter.

Crow said he joins Council members Lynn Ricci and L. Michael Glickert in calling for an investigation into the alleged leak.

Is this a mystery? I accessed the letter from the Patch site, through a link that went to Councilman Kraft's web site...

How interesting, wonders never cease.

Mr. Kraft's site states that, "This letter was posted after it was already public. The letter and legal opinion become public as part of introducing the reprimand resolution." Mr. Kraft denied giving the letter to the Patch, although the letter he put on his site contained more than was in the Patch article. Again, Mr. Kraft has denied making it public before the reprimand resolution was introduced. I am fairly certain it was Col. Mustard in the study with the wrench.

C'mon people, this was always a public document. What's the big deal? I believe the mayor herself said so. Give it a rest already, the matter is done, can councilmembers please get back to governing, thank you.
