Council Approves U City, Creve Coeur Golf Arrangement

U City residents can play at the Creve Coeur Golf Course for resident rates and vice versus, with Creve Coeur residents using the facilities at the Ruth Park Golf Course.

Good news for golfers in University City and Creve Coeur.

The two municipalities have entered into an agreement .The University City City Council recently signed off on the arrangement.

The deal means that U City residents can play at the Creve Coeur Golf Course for resident rates and vice versus, with Creve Coeur residents using the facilities at the Ruth Park Golf Course

The reciprocal arrangement will be done on a trial basis, running through the end of the year. It could be extended following an evaluation.

To play at the Creve Coeur Golf Course, U City residents will have to show their resident card.

Meantime, Creve Coeur and Ballwin have a similar arrangement but Ballwin opted not to join the merger between Creve Coeur and U City.

City Manager Lehman Walker said while there was some speculation as to why Ballwin opted not to make the new arrangement a trio, but said nothing was in writing.
