Closing The 'Sidewalk Gap' On Delmar Blvd.

The city of Olivette and St. Louis County are working together to get a long-awaited project done near the University City border.

It has been a long time coming, but it appears Olivette is ready to fill a "sidewalk gap" along Delmar Boulevard near the University City border.

The city's public works department is working with St. Louis County on a roughly $60,000 project that would put sidewalks in front of five apartment properties along the north side of Delmar Boulevard near Dumbarton Drive.

The project needs the approval of the property owner in the area and the city still needs to obtain right-of-way easements, but once that happens, the county will hire a contractor, with the expectation the work will be done this summer.
