U City Police: Laptop, Jewelry Stolen from Residence on Eastover

Each week, features a look at reports from the University City Police Department. Here is a look at the blotter from the week of Sept. 16-22, 2013. 

The department arrested 49 adults and two juveniles. There were six burglaries and three motor vehicle thefts. 

Monday, Sept. 16

  • Suspect(s) stole victim's vehicle from the 6900 block of Plymouth overnight. Vehicle is a 2012 red, 4-door Buick Verano.
  • Suspect(s) unlawfully entered the victim's residence in the 1100 block of Ferguson and vandalized inside. Victim had a verbal altercation with neighbor last week. 
  • Suspect(s) stole the victim's 2009 Nissan Sentra from the 6800 block of Kingsbury Ave. 

Tuesday, Sept. 17

  • Suspect(s) entered apartment building in the 1000 block of Old Towne through unlocked basement door and cut wiring of storage locker. 
  • Suspect(s) gained entry into the victim's residence in the 7700 block of Blackberry by opening the garage door and stole several items. 

Wednesday, Sept. 18

  • Suspects forced window of victim's residence in the 1200 block of Eastover open and stole a laptop, jewelry box containing several pieces of jewelry, and a purse. Two males, 17, and one juvenile male, 16, were arrested. 

Friday, Sept. 20

  • Witness observed suspect(s) attempt to gain entry into the victim's residence in the 7300 block of Wayne Ave. Victim discovered an open window and footprints in the bedroom, but no items were stolen. Two males, aged 17, and one juvenile male, age 15, were arrested. 

Saturday, Sept 21

  • Suspect(s) stole the victim's scooter from the 6300 block of Clemons. 

Sunday, Sept. 22

  • Suspect(s) unlawfully entered the vacant and stole copper piping from the basement of a home in the 7500 block of Wayne.
