U City Police: Cars, Air Conditioners Stolen from Residences

Each week, features a look at reports from the University City Police Department. Here is a look at the blotter from the week of June 3-9, 2013. 

The department arrested 72 adults and three juveniles. 

Friday, May 31

  • The reporting party stated person(s) unknown pried the basement window frame and pushed the window screen in to gain entry into the apartment building's basement in the 7200 block of Dartmouth. No items reported as missing. 
June 2-3
  • The reporting party stated person(s) unknown stole parked vehicle from in front of his residence in the 800 block of Westgate overnight. 
Wednesday, June 5
  • The reporting party stated person(s) unknown unlawfully entered the residence  in the 1000 block of Raisher Drive apparently through an unsecured bedroom window. Several items were removed.
June 5-6
  • The reporting party stated person(s) unknown stole vehicle that was parked in the rear of his apartment building in the 700 block of Interdrive overnight. 
Saturday, June 8
  • The reporting party stated person(s) unknown stole the exterior A/C unit from the side of the residence in the 8200 block of Gannon.
  • The reporting party stated person(s) unknown stole the exterior A/C unit from the residence in the 8000 block of Cornell.
  • The reporting party stated heard a loud "pop" noise outside of residence in the 8000 block of Amherst. The reporting party didn't see anything but heard a vehicle in the area. Later, it was determined that person(s) unknown had attempted to steal the exterior A/C unit by cutting a wire and tube.
Sunday, June 9
  • The reporting party stated person(s) unknown stole motorized scooter that was parked in the parking lot in the 8300 block of Delcrest. The reporting party suspects a person who recently questioned about the type of key and how to operate the scooter. 
  • The reporting party stated person(s) unknown stole the exterior A/C unit from the side of the vacant residence in the 8100 block of Amherst.
