U City Police Blotter: Man Bites Man, Shots Fired

University City Police incidents from the week of Feb. 25 to March 3.

Here is a look at the blotter from the week of Feb. 25 to March 3, 2013.

The department arrested 37 adults and one juvenile. There was one report of stealing, one report of shots fired and a burglary.

The victim stated person(s) unknown fired shots at the residence. No one was injured. A recent incident at another location is believed to be the cause, and a suspect is named.

Further investigation continues.

13-5592 63xx Delmar Blvd. Feb. 26

Officers responded to an alarm at a business. Upon arrival, the front door was insecure and there were pieces of brick lying in front of the door. While clearing the building, officers found the suspect in the basement trying to exit.

A juvenile was arrested for Burglary and remanded to custody of the St. Louis County Juvenile Detention Center.

13-5519 74xx Olive Blvd. Feb. 25

The reporting party stated a man was shoplifting. While the store’s manager was attempting to detain the suspect, the suspect bit the manager.

A 64-year-old black male was arrested for shoplifting and assault.
