Man Sentenced to 20 Years on Drug, Weapon Charges

Kelvin Miller pled guilty to four counts of intent to distribute heroin.

Kelvin Miller, 55, University City, pled guilty to four felony counts of possession with the intent to distribute heroin in March 2012.  

He was scheduled for trial on the remaining two counts of the original indictment. On the first day of trial, Jan. 23, he pled guilty to two felony counts of being a previously convicted felon in possession of firearms, before U.S. District Judge Rodney W. Sippel.

His case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives. Assistant United States Attorney Dean Hoag handled the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
