U City Man Pleads Guilty to 2009 Murder

A University City man has pleaded guilty in connection to a 2009 execution-style murder on Plymouth Ave.

Kelvin Miller, 55, was charged early in 2011 in connection with the 2009 shooting of a suspected cocaine trafficker.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported at the time that the dead man, 36-year-old Timothy L. Allred, was found shot in the head on the night of Oct. 14, 2009, in the 6800 block of Plymouth Avenue in University City.

According to court documents, Miller pled guilty to armed criminal action and second-degree murder on Feb. 11. He was sentenced to 25 years on each count, to run concurrent with each other and with a federal sentence.

Earlier this year, Miller pled guilty to four felony counts of possession with the intent to distribute heroin in March 2012.
