U City Man Faces Charge He Dealt Cocaine

St. Louis County Police found cocaine at a University City home in 2010, and the man said it was his, according to a court document.

St. Louis County Police executing a search warrant said they found cocaine at a University City man’s home.

Edward Watkins Jr., 24, of the 8600 block of Old Towne Drive in University City, was charged Tuesday with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

St. Louis County Police searched a home March 18, 2010, in the 8400 block of Elmore Avenue and said they found cocaine. According to a court document, Watkins told police the cocaine was his and he was selling cocaine.

Bond was set at $10,000, cash only. Watkins was released from St. Louis County jail Wednesday.
