U City Man Charged With Burglary, Stealing Firearm

Police said they found the defendant's fingerprints from the October 2011 burglary.

A man burglarized a home in the 1200 block of Mount Olive in University City and stole a handgun last year, University City Police said.

Charles M. Finley, 20, of the 1200 block of North and South Ave. in University City, was charged Tuesday with second-degree burglary and stealing a firearm.

University City Police said Finley broke a window and entered the home Oct. 28, 2011, taking a .357 cal revolver and cash. Police said they got Finley’s fingerprints from the window.

Bail was set at $50,000, cash only.
