U City Man Charged In Pair of July Burglaries

Police said the residents were home as burglars broke into the two houses.

A teenager was charged Friday with two first-degree burglaries in University City.

Kyren Chunn, 17, of the 7800 block of Birchmont in , also was charged with two counts of felony stealing.

said that Chunn and another person broke into a home at 2:55 a.m. July 17 in the 7100 block of Princeton Avenue and stole a laptop computer.

Police said Chunn and the other person also broke into a home in the 7700 block of Cornell Avenue the same night and stole a TV, notebook computer, iPod, iPad and $30 cash.

The residents were home during both burglaries, police said.

Bond was set at $30,000.
