Two Women Stole 51-Inch TV From Acquaintance's Home, Police Say

April Ford, Latonya Young and an unidentified man entered a home Monday and stole the TV, University City Police said.

Two women are accused of burglarizing an acquaintance’s home in University City.

April N. Ford, 27, of the 6700 block of Julian Avenue in University City, and Latonya Shonta Young, 26, of the 10400 block of Duke Drive in the Castle Point area of North County, were charged Wednesday with second-degree burglary and felony theft.

University City police said Ford, Young and an unidentified man entered a home in the 1300 block of Eastover Avenue through an unlocked rear door and stole a 51-inch plasma TV valued at $1,000.

A neighbor’s surveillance camera got video of the two women and a man entering the home and taking the TV. The victim identified Ford and Young as the two women in the video.

Ford and Young are being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $25,000 each.
