Two more young men whose lives are forever changed by the abundance of weapons on the streets and the lack of morals and value of life. I bet they never considered that shooting that weapon that night would destroy three young lives and sadden two families. I wonder if we could have done something different for these young men when they were youth that would have allowed them to go to college or have good jobs, instead of being known as murderous thugs. And young Destinee will never go to college, get a good job, marry, have kids and grow old. This tragedy has ended three young lives sadly, abruptly.......We have to find a way to prevent this from happening again and again.

I cannot believe we aren't able to work together and find answers to this problem. Someone must be profiting form this proliferation of guns and ammo. The people shooting and killing, couldn't possibly manufacture these instruments of death. I grew up when zip guns were all we had to fear, and ammo was usually stolen or purchased. Maybe if we made it more difficult to get the ammo there would be some surcease in these shootings.

Well maybe if we stop blaming someone else, rather than look in the mirror. From poor education to lack of parenting this will never end. Its sad when the life of a child is taken by another child.

Holston- Blame, Blame, Blame. This is the result of poor parenting and education. If these young men are brazen enough to murder a young lady, firing multiple rounds onto her front porch, not caring who they hit, do you really think that they would not steal or purchase ammo as you said was done in the days when zip guns were all you had to fear. Do you really think that if it was more difficult to get guns and ammo that these two guys would have been at home studying or doing something productive on the night that they committed this murder? Right, lets make guns and ammo illegal, because all criminals that commit the crimes with guns and ammo follow the laws, right Holston? These types of murders and shootings are a major problem in the black community not only of St. Louis, but throughout most black communities in the US and the predominate excuse is that guns laws need to be tougher or that we need to get the guns off the streets. How about teaching your children not go out and join a gang and shoot someone in the head b/c they are wearing the wrong gang color or walking on your gang turf, or better yet maybe not driving by an innocent family on a front porch and shooting at them. This type of behavior is glorified by so many black artist through Rap music, which most black kids (and probably more white kids) listen to, yet the black community seldom places blame on these artist who make huge profits? Why not Holston? Why not the artist or the parents?

Charles you are the source of the problem, I never blamed you people. I am trying to find a soloution, as most right thinking people, and not blaming those of your limited mentality. Of course your kind would see or read something in what well meaning Blacks will say, because you want to accuse rather than solve the problem. Well I am not going to accept the guilt you are trying to tar and feather me with. I have raised more young Blacks than you have knowledge of and am actively working at this everyday. Blame, blame, I am not blaming I want solutions probably more than you, but I refuse to shut my mind to that is the solution. I am grappling to find a solution and never said to make guns and ammo illegal, I feel that these thugs don't have the mentality to make either and by the way neither do I. I probably know, more than you about these young people and not from reading or looking at TV, and still feel there has to be a worthwhile solution, Charles F??????

Holston?, you people?, your kind?, limited mentality?, your ignorance to an open forum is the source of the problem. Try en-lighting your mind with some sociology, maybe some Conflict theory. Or just keep Grappling.

Well with your "right thinking", there will never be a solution! Continue with your neanderthal thinking, when you think those who question what is happening are against "guns". This narrow mode of thinking will result in more of these senseless crimes!!

To this misinformed and uneducated, otherwise holston black jr. Your Neanderthal Thinking?, Your ignorance will result in more senseless crimes. Also I'm a republican, why don't you research Conflict theory. Stop posting lowbrow rants, do research and learn from it. Jr. your so quick to throw out this right thinking statement, which is your lack of education reflecting. Your not much help, but a great inspiration of what not to emulate!
