Teen Grabbed Cell Phone from Person on the Loop, Police Say

University City Police said the teen acted with another person in the robbery.

An 18-year-old man faces criminal charges for taking a cell phone from a person at 6277 Delmar Blvd. in the Loop Nov. 16, police said.

Darien Lewis-Wilke, 18, was charged Nov. 17 with second-degree robbery. His address was listed as Youth Emergency Services building in University City.

University City Police said Lewis-Wilke acted with another person to forcibly steal the cell phone.

Lewis-Wilke is being held in St. Louis County jail. Bail was set at $25,000.
