Teen To Stand Trial as Adult in Rape Case

Police said the rape occurred April 16 at Chicago Heights Boulevard just north of Olivette.

A St. Louis County teen has been ordered to stand trial as an adult on charges that he raped a woman April 16.

St. Louis County Family Court Judge Michael Burton ruled that Roland Robinson, who is 16 years and 10 months old, would be tried as an adult.

The St. Louis County Prosecutor's Office filed a forcible rape charge Monday against Robinson, of the 9800 block of Chicago Heights Boulevard, an unincorporated area sandwiched between Olivette and Overland.

According to a St. Louis County Police report, Robinson initiated sexual intercourse with the victim at his home, and did not stop when she told him, “No.” The report reads that Robinson pinned her down, forcibly removed her clothes and had sex with the victim.

Bond was set at $100,000, cash only.
