Reports: Teenager Shot, Killed Sunday Night

The shooting took place outside an apartment in the 6300 block of Olive Blvd.

A 17-year-old was shot and killed outside an apartment complex Sunday night in University City. 

The shooting occurred around 8:30 p.m. outside a building in the 6300 block of Olive Blvd.

According to KMOV, the victim was standing outside the building when the suspect approached the him and opened fire. He was shot in the stomach several times before the suspect fled on foot.

The 17-year-old, whose name has not been released, was transported to Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by emergency room personnel, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The suspect has been described by authorities as being a black male between 18-22 years of age and standing at 5'8" to 5'11" in height. He was reportedly wearing jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt.
