Police, Fire Respond to Small Fire at University City High School Monday

Trash can fire reported at UCHS Monday afternoon.

Students at University City High School were evacuated from the building Monday afternoon after a small fire was reported.

Police and fire crews responded to "a small, contained trash can fire at the school," said school district communications director Linda Russell.

She said the students were evacuated in accordance with standard safety procedures, and all students and staff were safe.
