KMOV: Rash of Bike Thefts at Washington University

Many of the bikes were locked down when stolen.

Police are reporting a recent rash of bike thefts on the campus of Washington University.

According to KMOV, several bikes that were locked down have been taken. 

Students can buy locks from the university, but some students choose not to buy one.

"Normally I would have a lock, but I lost my key so I don't have a lock anymore," student Will Bergman told KMOV.

Students are encouraged to register their bikes so they can be returned to their owners once recovered.
