Ferguson Police Arrest Three Men in Stolen U City Vehicle

These crimes were reported by the University City Police Department the week of Aug. 18-25.

Each week, features a look at reports from the University City Police Department. Here is a look at the blotter from the week of Aug. 18-25, 2013. 

The department arrested 51 adults and three juveniles. There were nine burglaries and one motor vehicle theft.

Monday, Aug. 19

  • The reporting party stated person(s) unknown entered the unlocked garage in the 6800 block of Pershing and stole a bicycle. 
  • The reporting party saw an unknown subject exiting the residence in the 8400 block of Braddock through the front door. The reporting party stated the TV was moved from its previous location and left in living room. 
Wednesday, Aug. 21
  • Officer responded for an alarm sounding in the 6600 block of Delmar. Officers discovered the rear door had been forced open. No items were stolen. A second occurrence at this location occurred on Aug. 25 at the same rear door. 
  • The reporting party stated person(s) unknown entered the unlocked garage in the 6900 block of Pershing and stole the garage door remote. 
Thursday, Aug. 22
  • The reporting party stated person(s) unknown broke into her neighbor’s apartment in the 6800 block of Melrose. Officers observed damage to the doors. The suspect(s) stole several items. 
  • The reporting party observed the former tenant and other unknown males moving appliances from the residence in the 7000 block of Melrose. The south-facing door and basement doors had been forced open. 
  • The reporting party stated person(s) unknown unlawfully entered the residence in the 7800 block of Birchmont Drive and stole several items. The reporting party may have left the rear door of residence unlocked. 

Friday, Aug. 23

  • The reporting party stated person(s) stole a 1994 Toyota Camry overnight from the 700 block of Kingsland. The vehicle was later recovered by Ferguson Police. Three suspects were arrested while operating the vehicle.
  • The reporting party stated person(s) unknown unlawfully entered the residence in the 7300 block of Wayne through an unlocked window and stole several items.
