Area Woman Faces Drug, Gun Charges in Arnold

A St. Louis woman is facing drug and gun charges after being stopped for a traffic violation in Arnold.

Rachel Krippner, of the 700 block of S. Skinker Blvd. near University City, has been charged by the Jefferson County Prosecutor's Office with possession of a chemical with the intent to create meth and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police stopped Krippner at the Phillips 66 Gas Station at 5 Municipal Dr. in Arnold on July 22, according to court documents. A passenger in the vehicle jumped out of the car and fled the scene.

Police found 28.07 grams of white powder, which later tested to be pseudoephedrine - a chemical used to make meth, 1.07 grams of marijuana and a loaded .22 caliber revolver, the documents state. Burglary tools and recovered stolen property were also found in the vehicle.

A computer check showed Krippner was wanted for a probation violation, according to the documents. Additionally, she was driving while suspended/revoked and had no insurance.

Both possession of a chemical with the intent to create a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm are class C felonies.

Each class C felony and carries with it a punishment of up to one year in jail or one to 7 years in a state prison and/or up to a $5,000 fine.
