BREAKING NEWS.........An Important Announcement from Rod Jennings

Breaking News.........An Important Announcement from Rod Jennings December 13, 2013 in University City, Missouri Dear University City Family and Friends, After prayerful consideration and discussions among family, friends and residents of all University City and in the 3rd Ward, I have decided to enter the race for Councilman of the 3rd Ward in this community. The catalyst behind my decision to run happened over the last forty three years. I am a product of the schools, a parent, businessman, actively involved in civic and political issues, supported candidates in UCity, and having lived in and as well being in love with this community, I am compelled to continue what has been established and forge ahead with what must be changed or created for the betterment of the entire community. I am inspired by my friends, mentors, role models and public servants who have poured selflessly and beyond reproach into my life to make me a better man, resident and servant leader as were they. I also watched closely as they took a uncompromising position that there must be equality in every neighborhood, in every home and institution and in every heart, mind and soul in this city. I am aware of that I must possess that same aggressive commitment and I am confident I can bring common sense ideas from the people to the City Council Chambers in University City. I diligently support local non-profit organizations that support education, mentoring, business, jobs, and health awareness. I support education and government collaborating and working closely together, sharing and maximizing resources as their individual and collective success is in the selfish best interest of everyone within these city limits. I support business and government working together for development as well as sustaining a welcoming business climate that benefits this city's residents. I also will push for tasteful, progressive, viable, solid, stable development of the entire stretch of Olive Blvd. I support strong neighborhoods in every ward, were residents can freely, safely and proudly walk, bike, visit, work or live in any of the wards in UCity. My passion is people and I am committed to ushering in a real sense of ONE COMMUNITY. From Eastgate to Old Bonhomme, from our Clayton Border to our Wellston Border we must live, work and grow as one. In my first political race I used virtually all of my own money, worked with a very small staff and lost that race. That wont happen again. I know now that I was destined to serve on the School Board in the City of University City. I was going to serve in UCity Schools, win or lose, but I was favored to have become a two term School Board Member and Board Secretary. I served proudly and I learned a lot. I am ready to transition to city government to use that experience, knowledge and record of service to advance our city and its school district. I intend to build an extremely strong and dedicated grass roots organization, UC Miracles, to make all of these great things happen. Therefore, I need your help to conduct an aggressive campaign. We have already begun building winning strategies but having good volunteers and secure finances is very important for us to have a successful campaign. I respectfully and humbly invite you to get in involved with the "UC Miracles Campaign" because it is not about me, its not about you…… but about building "ONE VOICE, ONE VISION, ONE UNIVERSITY CITY FOR ALL" Early contributions are key to any good foundation and your gift of $100, $250, $500, $1,000 will help me raise funds needed to launch this campaign. Please make checks payable to UC Miracles, Committee to Elect Rod Jennings for City Council. Please contact me at rjmiracle007@gmail.com or 314-480-2221 and I will personally receive your contribution and thank you for your support. If you wanted to express your vision of UCity, what better time would there be than when I am asking for your support. To mail in your support please address your donation to: UC Miracles 2013 561 Kingsland Ave. #300532 University City, MO. 63130 I am grateful to you for your generous support, prayers and dedication in helping us with this tremendous endeavor.
