Public Memorial Service for Cardinals Owner Andrew Baur Set For Friday in Ladue

Lupton Chapel in University City said a private family service and burial will held for Cards owner Andrew Baur on Thursday.

A public memorial service for Cardinals owner Andrew Baur is set for Friday at MICDS McDonnell Athletic Center, 101 N. Warson Rd. at Ladue Rd., The service starts at 11:00am.

According to in University City a private family service and burial will be held Thursday. 

Andrew N. "Drew" Baur died suddenly on Sunday, February 20 at age 66.

According to the obituary provided by Lupton Chapel, Baur helped organize the original ownership group that purchased the Cardinals from Anheuser-Busch in 1996. He served as a Director of the Cardinals as well as the team's Treasurer until his death. Baur enjoyed a long and successful career in banking where he was chairman of Southwest Bank of St. Louis for 26 years. He was previously Chairman and CEO of Country Bank of St. Louis and President and Chairman of Commerce Bank of St. Louis.

Baur and is survived by his mother, sister and brother, as well as his three children and seven grandchildren.
