Mother of Former City Manager Has Died

Former University City City Manager Frank Ollendorff's mother has passed away at the age of 101.

The mother of former University City City Manager Frank Ollendorff passed away on Monday at Horizon Bay Assisted Living in Carrollton, Georgia.
Martha B. Ollendorff was 101.

Martha Ollendorff was born in Magdeburg, Germany, the daughter of the late Karl Oskar Wilhelm Burge and Anna Klara Marie Loose Burge.

She immigrated with her husband, Henry, to the USA in 1938 becoming a citizen in 1944. She assisted her husband in the founding of an international social work exchange program that has touched thousands of lives worldwide. 

She moved from Cleveland, OH to Carrollton in 2000 to be near her daughter, Monica. She enjoyed her last eleven years as a very active resident of Horizon Bay, walking daily and swimming. She was of the Episcopalian faith.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Franklin and Jane Ollendorff of University City, MO; daughter, Monica Ann Ollendorff of Carrollton; grandchildren, Kelly Ollendorff and Todd Ollendorff; great grandson, Alex Lopez; and step grandchildren, Jenny Maples and Matthew Nourse. 

There will be a Memorial Celebration of her life on Friday, March 25 at 2 PM at Horizon Bay, 530 Northside Drive in Carrollton with John T. Lewis officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given at the memorial service to the Council of International Fellowship Fund established in her name or mailed to Council of International Fellowship, Martha B. Ollendorff Fund, 8128 Cornell Court, University City, MO 63130. 

According to Mrs. Ollendorff’s wishes her body was cremated.
