Trash Talk: You Are So Going Down, Aaron Perlut

There's no way you're winning the Salvation Army's Garbage Bag Gala twice, Aaron. Not if I have anything to do about it.

It's on. It's on like Donkey Kong.

Next week is the Salvation Army's annual Garbage Bag Gala, and I am bringing it. The title for best outfit crafted entirely out of garbage bags and duct tape went to June Grieg and her model Aaron Perlut last year, so I've had 11.75 months to marinate on one simple fact: WE WERE ROBBED!

Let's be real - my volunteer designers handcrafted a polka-dot party dress that looks like gorgeous leather and ribbon (It's not, it's trash bags!) and a wedding dress that is probably nicer than the dress I'd actually choose for my big day (Again, made out of plastic!). I even had a garbage bag veil and bouquet. These women are for real, and I made sure I modeled the you-know-what out of those dresses.

Now, Aaron's clothes were pretty darn cool. The samurai bit was clever, and watching Aaron be the center of attention is always fun. But I was relieved he wouldn't be modeling again so there'd be no chance of a repeat.

That all changed this week. Aaron's back in, and you can see peeks of his outfits in the picture above. So all I have left to say is, to Aaron, the three other Patch.com editors modeling next week and to all the models:

Let the trash talking begin.

Get discounted tickets for the Garbage Gala, benefitting the Salvation Army and happening at 7 p.m. August 2 at the Moonrise Hotel.
