Join Local Celebrities for Dinner in Frontenac Thursday

Patch editors, professional athletes, government officials and a Project Runway star will be there to have dinner with you for the Crisis Nursery's annual fundraiser.

This story was written by Patch Editor Lindsay Toler.

It's that time again - time for the St. Louis Crisis Nursery's Celebrity Waiter and Waitress Night! Make your reservations anytime from 4 to 10 p.m. Thursday at Fleming'sBrio Tuscan Grill or Canyon Cafe.

"All evening, celebrities do their best to encourage patrons to leave “BIG tips” –because ALL tips raised directly benefit the Crisis Nursery," according to the nursery. "Adding to the thrill of having more than 100 heavy-hitters from the fields of local entertainment, media, sports and business, there are also celebrity impersonators, and a raffle of high value items."

If you're looking to meet some Patch editors, I'll be at Canyon Cafe from 5 to 7 p.m., and editor Candace Jarrett will be there from 7 to 9 p.m. Come say hi and make a contribution to a wonderful cause!

I recently appeared on STLTV to talk about the event. Check out the video here.

Guests can dine and donate funds in the red envelope to support Crisis Nursery’s 24-hour child abuse prevention programs, which supports more than 7,000 children, birth through age 12, each year at five locations.  Last year, diners contributed over $100,000 in donations to benefit children and families served by Crisis Nursery.
