The Sutter-Meyer Society remembers and salutes Pershing Elementary School

Annual meeting of the Sutter-Meyer Society.  The program includes: 

An architectural history and video presentation of Pershing Elementary School built by William B. Ittner in 1919 including the laying of the corner stone by General John J. Pershing .  A silent auction will also be held as a fund raiser to benefit the Sutter-Meyer Society which was founded in 2006 in University City committed to converting the oldest standing building - an 1873 brick farmhouse - into a community museum that will focus on the history of the greater St. Louis region.
