Brenda (Butterfly) and Patrice (Moon), create the jewelry
pieces, or wearable art.

Brenda
(Butterfly): Spent professional
career raising money for nonprofit organizations, both at the local level and
national level. After surviving a near-fatal car crash, she realized that she should follow my passions and make each day count. "I didn't want to die with my
art still inside of me. It is important for all of us to be fully "alive
to thrive." I created a radio show by that title, and I focus attention on
individuals who have followed their dreams, created their own businesses, who
speak and perform, write books, compose music, and who have a story to share
that will uplift others.

The jewelry
business was born when I learned how to make a set of Mala Beads as I was
learning about Meditation and spiritual practices, and when my mother's Rosary
beads were repaired by “Moon” (they were broken in the car crash). I believe
that making jewelry can be a spiritual practice of sorts, as you go into the process with the "unknown" and you let a Higher Power channel through
you. I am always amazed when I see our work the next day, as I know that the
Beauty is from a Timeless place."

Patrice
(Moon): Is a
former police helicopter pilot and flew for 25 years for St. Louis County
Police Department. She was also a member of the SWAT Team as a trained precision
marksman (sniper).  A few years before
retirement, Brenda asked her to repair her mother’s rosary that had broken on the day she died.  "When we design jewelry pieces, I go into a quiet world that is unlike anything I had ever
experienced in my law enforcement world. It is quiet, and serene. Jewelry design is focused on creating beauty, rather than observing
violence and crime and the ugly side of humanity.  I was amazed the calming effect the stones
had on me, and on the women who purchased our pieces.  I enjoy bringing a sense of calm to the
world, rather than chasing criminals! "
