This event was founded by University City Police Sergeant Brian Isenberg & Firefighter Jeff Barlage, who proudly served the community alongside Sgt King. This steel-tip dart tournament will feature professional darts players, as well as world-ranked darts star, Steve "The Original" Brown, who hails from the U.K. as well as other St. Louis dignitaries.

Players can register for $10 per game, and admission to the event is free to the public. Drink Specials, gifts, raffle items and DJ Entertainment will be part of this fantastic event!

Sue King, Sgt. King's widow, sums it up best: " A Hero is much more than a professional athlete or an entertainer. A hero is a man or woman of distinguished courage, admired for brave deeds and noble qualities. Mike is such a Hero. He donned a University City police uniform for 25 years, protecting the citizens of the community where he himself took pride in living.

Sgt King was ambushed and killed while protecting the citizens of University City on Oct 31st, 2008. It is through the dedication of men like Michael King that this world was made a better place because of his dedication to it."

Our challenge is to properly serve the memory of Sgt. King and give back to the organization that was there for his family in their greatest time of need, The Backstoppers.
