Bach Society of Saint Louis Northern Lights Concert

Experience the enchanting
choral music from Scandinavia in the awesome
acoustical setting of St. Stan’s.
Familiar music by Edvard Grieg and Jean Sibelius is combined with newer works by Trond Kverno, Waldemar Åhlén, Wilhelm Stenhammar
and others.  We are especially excited to
perform several new works by the up-and-coming young Norwegian composer Ola
Gjeilo whose works draw inspiration from film music.  Gjeilo’s stunning ‘Dark Night of the Soul’
takes the listener to another world and will be a highlight to the first
concert of the season.  After the
performance join us for wine in the adjacent Polish Heritage Hall to meet
friends, greet the performers and welcome new executive director Melissa Payton.
Free, gated parking.  Tickets range from $10-$37 and can be purchased online:  www.bachsociety.org
