Traffic Ahead: A Heads-Up For Those Going to the Blues Game Saturday
The exit closures continue downtown, and the Blanchette Bridge will have some lanes closed overnight.
Deja vu all over again: Lanes on eastbound I-64 from Jefferson to 6th Street will close this weekend
In downtown St. Louis, all lanes on eastbound I-64 from Jefferson to 6th Street will close this weekend. The closures will occur from 8 p.m. Friday until 8 p.m. Sunday for bridge work. Motorists are urged to use Jefferson to I-44 as a detour to get downtown.
During Saturday night’s Blues game, drivers heading downtown only will be able to exit I-64 at 14th Street starting at 6 p.m. The eastbound ramps at Pine Street, Forest Park and Ewing will close at 7 p.m. Friday until 8 p.m. Sunday.

Some downtown westbound entrance ramps too
On westbound I-64, the Broadway or the 10th Street entrance ramps will also close between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Either ramp closure depends on if the left or right lane on westbound I-64 is closed. Both ramps will not be closed at the same time.

Overnight lane closures on eastbound Blanchette Missouri River Bridge beginning Sunday
Beginning Monday, January 9, motorists can expect overnight lane closures for utility work on the eastbound I-70 Blanchette Missouri River Bridge. The work is being done to prepare for the upcoming major rehabilitation work scheduled on the westbound I-70 Blanchette Bridge. Monday, Jan. 9, crews will close one eastbound lane from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. A second lane and both of the Fifth Street ramps to eastbound I-70 will close at 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9 through Thursday, Jan. 12, crews will close one eastbound I-70 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. A second lane and both of the Fifth Street ramps to eastbound I-70 will close at 9 p.m.
On-going closures:
- I-70, St. Louis City, right lane on eastbound I-70 closed from St. Louis Avenue to Broadway until summer 2012.
- I-70, St. Louis City, entrance ramp from 11th Street to eastbound I-70 closed until summer 2012.
- Grand Blvd, St. Louis City, closed from I-64 to Chouteau by St. Louis City until mid 2012.
