After record snowfalls and school closings all winter, this rare burst of spring gives everyone spring fever. In celebration of this good weather, we have six places to grab a leisurely brunch.

Brunch is served on Sat- Sun 9-3 pm. On the menu: French Toast, Brisket Hash and Eggs a Breakfast Burrito and of course cupcakes for dessert. I can personally attest to their huge yummy cupcakes!

Sunday Munch Brunch goes from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Features $10 Bottomless Mimosas.

If you're in a rush a tried and true place to grab breakfast is McDonald's. You can’t go wrong with a Big Breakfast with Hotcakes or  an Egg McMuffin. For healthier fare there is always Fruit Maple Oatmeal.

Bagels, breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Plus, freshly brewed coffee and tea and fruit smoothies. And the Bread Co. on Delmar is always hopping with the most interesting people, who don't seem to mind when I join in on their spirited conversations.

Features an array of omelettes, from the standard cheese and veggie omlette to the Foxy Loxy with lox, tomatoes, onions and cheese. Their breakfast sandwiches are yummy. I really like the ETC sandwich with eggs, tomatoes, onions and cheese. And of course there is the coffee, plus fruit smoothies. Breakfast is served until 1pm on the weekends.

Breakfast is served all day long. The menu is quite varied from pumpkin or chocolate chip pancakes with homemade maple syrup to biscuits and gravy to crepes. The place is usually full of regulars and Washington University students.
