Pratzel's Baked Goods Are Available At An Area Store

Just in time for the Jewish holidays, items from Pratzel's Eastgate Bakery will be available at Straub's in Clayton and the bakery's new location.

Beginning Monday, September 26, fans of Pratzel's famous baked goods will be able to purchase them at Straub's Market in Clayton and at Pratzel's Eastgate Bakery's new building in the Dielmann Industrial Park in Olivette.

The bakery's retail site is not yet fully operational but the owner, Jon Mills, wanted to accommodate the Jewish community during the holidays by offering this ability to buy products.

Since the retail store is not yet a fully-functioning shop, customers need to phone in their orders for pick-up the next day. Requests must be received by 2 p.m. in order to pick up the items the following day at the bakery: 9263 Dielman Industrial Dr.

Call 314-692-8100 to place an order; voice mail messages will be confirmed by phone by one of the bakery’s customer service representatives. Pick-up hours are Monday through Friday, noon through 3 p.m. at Pratzel’s Eastgate Bakery

To place an order at Straub’s, call 314-725-2121 by 2 p.m. for pick-up the following day during the store’s regular hours.

The items that will be available include: Honey cake, paradise cake, challahs and foigels (round holiday breads with or without raisins), bagels (sold by the half dozen), stollens and kamish bread (sold by the pound), and Pratzel’s famous rye breads and upside-down chocolate cupcakes.

This arrangement will last through October 21 and was designed in order to respond to the demands of the community during this transitional time until the retail operation is formally open.

In the meantime, Pratzel's is still available for special events such as weddings and other celebrations, shiva trays and meetings.
