Next Winter Storm Approches; MoDOT Issues Caution

The heaviest snowfall is expected to miss St. Louis, but most of the state will get lots of precipitation.

Raindrops started to fall in St. Louis Monday night, bringing in the next round of winter weather.

According to Fox 2 meteorologists, another winter storm is already on its way to Missouri. This storm will bring blizzard conditions and lots of snow to the Plains, as close as Kansas City and Columbia.

Fox 2 predicts heavy rain at times overnight. Thunderstorms are also possible. Heavy downpours could lead to some flash flooding.

Rain will continue into Tuesday morning, but as colder air wraps in the rain will mix with or change to wet snow. There will be minor snow accumulation in metro St. Louis, but snow totals quickly go up as you travel west.
