Fall leaf collections continue in University City. To find out when your neighborhood's leaves will be collected, click here. The Veterans Day holiday will be celebrated today, so there will be no trash or recycling collection on Monday.

Monday, Nov. 12

  • University City Public Library will be closed today in honor of Veterans Day. 
  • University City City Hall, state offices and federal buildings, including the Post Office, will be closed today.
  • Banks are closed for the holiday as well.

Tuesday, Nov. 13

  • City Council Study Session — Background information on Complete Streets, will be discussed at 5:30 p.m.
  • I Didn't Know I Was a Bully — 6 p.m. at Jackson Park Elementary School
  • City Council meeting — 6:30 p.m. in the fifth floor council chamber of city hall
  • Arts & Letters Commission — 7 p.m. at Centennial Commons

Wednesday, Nov. 14

  • Library Board — 5:15 at U City Public Library. 
  • Traffic Commission — 6:30 p.m. at Heman Park Community Center.
  • Urban Forestry Commission — 7 p.m. at Centennial Commons.
  • Fired Up for Kindergarten — 6:30 p.m. at  Barbara C. Jordan, Flynn Park, Jackson Park and Pershing Elementary Schools

Thursday, Nov. 15

  • #TurkeyTweetup — 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Moonrise Hotel
  • Brewtopian Dinner — 6-9 p.m. to benefit Operation Food Search
  • Human Relations Commission — 6:30 p.m. at City Hall
  • Historic Preservation Commission — 7 p.m. at City Hall
  • School District of University City School Board — 7 p.m. at the McNair Administration Building.

Saturday, Nov. 17

  • Free Health Screening — 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the U City Public Library.
  • 'A Night at the Casino' — 7 p.m. at Heman Park Community Center to benefit the University City Chamber of Commerce.
