A feasibility study about a proposed plan to help the Loop become a high-tech media hub will be presented at an informational meeting from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at the Center of Creative Arts Black Box Theatre.
The presentation follows a series of public meetings that were held in the past several months that discussed various aspects of the project, formally known as the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) plan.
A group of stakeholders including the cities of and St. Louis, St. Louis County, the University City Chamber of Commerce, , COCA and the commissioned the study.
Among other items, the ICT plan will explore the feasibility of installing fiber optic technology underneath the tracks for the proposed Loop Trolley to provide wireless connectivity to the community located along the Loop Trolley corridor.
The consultant for the ICT, David Sandel of Sandel & Associates, along with the study's other participants and its stakeholders will be at the meeting to provide a brief project overview and answer any questions.
