TWO LOCAL AUTHORS KICK OFF NATIONAL POETRY MONTH

When/Where: Friday, April 1 at 7:00pm. . Why Go: Two local authors, Jane O.Wayne and Howard Schwartz, will read from their latest books, as they help the U City Library kick off this year's National Poetry Month. Pricing: Free

When/Where: Saturday, April 2 at 7:00pm. First Presbyterian Church of St. Louis, 7200 Delmar Blvd. Why Go: Free movie series! The film for adults is "O Brother, Where Art Thou," with George Clooney. The children’s film is “How to Train Your Dragon.” Pricing: The movie are free.  Snacks and beverages will cost you. Proceeds benefit the work of the Deacons at First Pres.

When/Where: Saturday, April 2 from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. at the Moonrise Hotel, 6177 Delmar Blvd. Why Go: The Moonrise Hotel is holding the 2nd annual Green Ball. It's a celebration of all things GREEN in St. Louis. The ball benefits the Missouri Botanical Garden's Earthways Center. Creative Green Attire. Pricing: $75 per person

When/Where: Saturday, April 2 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at . Why Go: Are you 17 or older? Are you looking for part-time employment at the pool? Stop by! Pricing: Free

When/Where: Sunday, April 3 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at . Why Go: The opening reception will celebrate 25 years of creative collaboration between Washington University sculpture students and the Commission to bring sculpture to the public places of University City. Pricing: Free

When/Where: Saturday, April 2nd at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday April 3rd at 2 p.m. at 1 University Boulevard in St. Louis. Why Go: St. Louis Ballet presents " Tribute to New York.” This ballet is a four part series, each with a connection to New York.  This show is for all ages. Pricing: $47, $37, and $25.
