A New Chapter for University City Patch

An introduction from the new editor.

This week marks the beginning of a new era at University City Patch.

My name is Maggie Rotermund, and I couldn't be happier to be taking the reins from your great editor Myra Lopez. She has done an outstanding job and I hope to continue to build on what she has started.

I'm easing into things at the end of this week. Please bear with us as we transition from one editor to another. We are working to make this transition as seemless as possible.

I'm going to try to be out in the community as much as possible in the coming weeks, starting with the Ice Carnival this weekend. Please come by and say hello.

About me

I am a St. Louis native with a journalism degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism

I spent more than three years in Mountain Home, AR, working as a reporter for the Baxter Bulletin newspaper. I then moved closer to home to work as editor for The Missourian in Washington.

In 2009, I took a break from journalism to pursue my master's degree in international relations. The program, through Webster University, allowed me to travel the world and learn in some incredible locations.

After completing my degree in 2010, I became the founding editor of the Wentzville Patch. I have loved my time in Wentzville and can't wait to tackle new challenges in University City.

I want to hear from you. Journalism requires participation from its users. Please tell us what you want to see, what we are doing well and what we can improve on.

Please let me know what I can do to keep University City Patch your best source of local news and information. Contact me at at 636-288-0382 or by email at Maggie.Rotermund@patch.com.
