TLC for Kids is Hosting National Nanny Training Day

Saturday April 20th over 2,000 nannies across the country will gather for training events designed to meet their unique needs. TLC for Kids, Inc. is proud to be the local sponsor for this event.

Over 2,000 Nannies Gather in Local Communities For Training That Promotes Quality Care

TLC for Kids, Inc. celebrates National Nanny Training Day (April 20th, 2013) to recognize the needs of young children and to raise awareness of the positive correlation between nanny training and quality care.  This national initiative is part of Week of the Young Child, an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. 

On Saturday, April 20, over 2,000 nannies in more than 40 cities will gather in their local communities at training events designed to meet their unique needs. TLC for Kids, Inc. is proud to be the local sponsor for the St. Louis event.

The St. Louis event will offers the following sessions:  Sleep Training and Safe-to-Sleep by Clayton Babies Sleep Consulting, Why Won’t They Just Behave: Addressing challenging behavior and inclusion of preschool age children, presented by United 4 Children. St. Louis nannies will also talk about nutrition, organizing playgroups and more.

National Nanny Training Day is open to nannies throughout the community. This event will also offer caregivers the opportunity to network, share resources and be appreciated for the important work they do.

Stephanie Graff of TLC for Kids, Inc. says, “TLC offers educational workshops for our nannies several times throughout the year. We are so excited that educating nannies has spread to a national level.”

TLC was the first nanny and child care agency in the US (1985) to provide on-call nannies for families and hotels and specialize in sick care, newborn overnights, care for special needs children and back-up care for working parents.
