Winslow's Home to Compete in Burger Battle
Winslow's Home's chef will compete against other local chefs to see who has the best tasting burger.
Winslow's Home & Farm in University City is probably best known for its brisket. But next week, Executive Chef Cary McDowell will put his burger skills to the test.
Whole Foods Market in Brentwood is holding its First Annual Burger Cook- Off on Thursday, July 14. The event goes from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
McDowell will compete against other local chefs to see who has the best grass-fed beef burger.

Participating chefs include:
- Nicholas Miller, Harvest Restaurant
- Kristopher Janik, Robust Wine Bar & Cafe
- Cary McDowell, Winslow's Home & Farm
- Grace Dinsmoor, Modesto Tapas Bar & Restaurant
- Clara Moore, Local Harvest Café
- Chris Drummond, Whole Foods Market
The winning chef will be awarded $500 to give to a local charity of their choice.

The winning burger will be decided by you!!
People are invited to stop by the store and sample all the entries, then cast their vote for the best burger.
A second winner will be chosen by Catherine Neville of Feast Magazine and the Whisnant’s, Whole Food's Grass-Fed Beef producers.
At 8:00 pm the voting will end and at 8:15 pm the winner will be announced.
