You Can't Ink This at Enigma Tattoos

Tattoo artist Patrick Day, who works at the tattoo shop in U City, has a list of tattoos that aren't allowed.

Patrick Day, tattoo artist at Enigma Tattoos & Body Piercing, said he'll tattoo just about anything except for gang tattoos and anything racially offensive.

"No Nazi stuff or anything like that," he said. "Nothing hateful or mean."

He said kids' names and memorial tattoos are the most popular, especially with walk-in customers.

But if you're thinking about tattooing a joke on your body, you might reconsider that idea. 

"I try to sway people from it," he said. "You're not going to like the tattoo anymore when the joke isn't funny anymore."

He said it's hilarious at first, but not three weeks later.

"People don't think in the future," Day said. "Their friends aren't going to think it's funny every day."
