Closings

The Post-Dispatch is reporting that Hiro Sushi and 609 Lounge have closed. Hiro will reopen in 2013 on Washington Ave.  as Hiro Asian Kitchen, according to the Post story.

On his Facebook page, proprietor Bernie Lee posted it was time to move on.

We will open a new chapter, at the start of 2013, in a better location downtown. It's a very bittersweet feeling. We want to thank all of our patrons, friends, and family, for the loyalty, love and support, without which we would not be where we are today. We have been blessed to have all of you in our lives. Through the good times, the bad times and the tough times, you all have been there for us. Thank you...Please come and be part of our last memories together at 609 w/good drinks, laughter, and a great time. Remember after all, whatever happens in 609, stays in 609! ;).

The old space, purchased by Washington University, will be demolished.

Congratulations for the GRG, including all hardworking employees, Board members-volunteers and theRead More taxpayers who had the foresight to create such a worthwhile taxing district. This group, with extensive collaboration between governmental agencies, private landowners and citizens, creates interconntected trails throughout our region!
