Most Romantic Restaurant: The Melting Pot in U City
Open Table users rated The Melting Pot one of the best places for a romantic dinner.
Open Table readers have named The Melting Pot in University City one the 100 most romantic restaurants in the United States.
OpenTable Diners’ Choice Awards were derived from more than 5 million reviews submitted by OpenTable diners for more than 15,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
"What the world needs now is love — and it can be found at this year's winning restaurants," said Caroline Potter, OpenTable Chief Dining Officer. "The honorees have created dining experiences that allow guests to connect and kindle the flames of romance over fantastic fare."

Michael Hobbs, owner of The Melting Pot, said he was pleased to see the fondue restaurant make the list. The Melting Pot is the only Missouri restaurant to make the cut.
"One more reason to come to the Loop!" Hobbs said.
