Make Mom Feel Special This Mother's Day

There are many ways to let mom know you love her. There are many places in University City to help you do just that this Mother's Day.

Mother's Day is upon us and it is important to let the mothers in our life know how special they are, whether they are your mother, wife, daughter, sister or friend.

Moms put family first, making sure every one is taken care of. They are often the managers in their households - confirming doctor's appointments, parent-teacher conferences, dentist appointments, etc.. Moms try to make sure everyone has what they need - snacks, soccer cleats, a favorite binky or sippy cup. This might be at the expense of going to spin class, blow drying her hair, shaving both legs in the shower, maybe even at the expense of taking a promotion at work to prevent being away from home.

It is not just their sacrifice, but their love that sustains us. Knowing your mom will yell the loudest at your violin recital (despite your mortification), she will threaten the life of anyone who makes you cry, and will cry with you in  laughter and sorrow.

There are many things available to make mom feel special this holiday. If mom is a fan of fresh cut flowers be sure to stop by . The Deal of the Day offers bouquets from $35 to $150 with additions of stuffed animals, balloons or chocolates for an extra charge. If mom has a green thumb, stop by and buy some seeds and plant mom an herb, vegetable or flower garden. She will be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor all summer long.
