Job: Lifeguard for city pools
Experience: Must be at least 16 years old and have or be able to obtain valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding verification.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the safety, supervision, discipline and customer service of all swimming facility patrons; as well as conducing the planned aquatic program and maintenance/operation of a swimming pool facility within the framework of policies and instruction set forth by the Department of Community Development-Recreation Division. Job: Summer Intern—Business Licenses
Experience: Qualifications include excellent customer service and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to be ambulatory in a variety of weather conditions. Some college coursework is preferred.
Responsibilities: Duties include ensuring granted licenses are properly displayed and that current decals are affixed to vending machines. Will also notify business owners who are non-compliant.
Salary: $10-12 per hour

Job: Middle school math teacher
Experience: The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, masters preferred, and at least three years teaching experience with late elementary grades or middle school students. Experience incorporating technology in the classroom and differentiating instruction to meet the needs of individual students is essential in this position. Additionally, experience or familiarity with Math in Focus or Singapore Mathematics curriculum is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities: Teach four sections of 5th Grade Mathematics and serve as an advisor in the 2012-2013 academic year.
