Job Openings: U City Needs Camp Counselors

Here's who's hiring in and near Richmond Heights, Clayton, University City and Ladue.

Who’s Hiring: 
Location: University City
Job: Recreation Specialist I (CubCare Assistant/Summer Camp Counselor)
Category: Part-time, summer
Responsibilities: Responsible for the supervision and care of program participants including, but not limited to summer youth recreation program, child care area at the Centennial Commons, Recreation Club, etc.
Salary: $7.25 per hour

Who’s Hiring:
Location: Clayton
Job: Planner
Category: Full-time
Experience: Requirements include Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning or closely related field; minimum two years’ experience as a Planner for municipal or local entity; knowledge of Planning theory and practice; ability to review site plans; and knowledge of research methods.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include providing technical information to the public and development community; analyzing requests for rezonings, variances, site plans and architectural review; preparing technical reports and presenting professional recommendations to appointed and elected officials, in addition to being the designated staff liaison to the Board of Adjustment.
Salary: Starting salary range: $39,648-$48,073; full salary range: $39,648-$54,392

Who’s Hiring:
Location: Ladue
Job: Middle School Humanities Teacher
Category: Full-time
Experience: Master’s degree in one of the two disciplines, plus significant undergraduate coursework in the companion discipline.​ At least three years of teaching experience is preferred, with strong prior work with both history and English curricula.​  
Responsibilities: In addition to serving as an advisor to 10-12 students, the position includes additional community responsibilities such as coaching and/​or club sponsorship.​
