Jilly's a-Go-Go Closes, No Changes at U City Flagship
The Des Peres location is closing, but the University City location is going strong.
The satellite store of University City's Jilly's Cupcake Bar, Jilly's a-Go-Go in Des Peres, is closing today.
According to George Mahe of St. Louis Magazine, the location at 1131 Colonnade Center was too far off Manchester Road to attract drive-by traffic.
But Jilly's lovers in West County don't need to go through cupcake withdrawal— the University City location isn't going anywhere and Schnucks in Des Peres has decided to carry the cupcakes.
Jilly's cupcakes will 'arrive' at the Des Peres Schnucks next weekend and will be accompanied by a visit from chef and two-time Cupcake Wars winner Casey Schiller, Mahe reports.
