Get Out: Light Up the Loop Today

Holiday lights are up and the Christmas tree will be lit between 5-6 p.m.

The Delmar Loop businesses and restaurants will light up for the holidays today.

Light up the Loop starts off the season with a blast of color and fun, featuring vintage Christmas lights decorating streetlamps and store rooftops, holiday-themed window displays in storefronts, and special deals from the Loop's shops and eateries.

Loop visitors will have the opportunity to enter drawings, sample treats and receive discounts on one-of-a-kind gifts from various Loop boutiques and restaurants.

Craft Alliance is celebrating the season with its famous annual display of floating cascades of hand-blown glass ornaments by local and national artists, and restaurants and bars, including Fitz's and Market Pub House, will offer happy hour specials in the afternoon and evening.

The tree lighting event will be held from 5-6p.m. There will be caroling by the Kingsbury Place Singers at Chuck Berry Plaza. At 5:30 p.m., the winner of Fitz's photo contest will light the 20-foot Fitz's Christmas Tree!
